Canvas Stretching and Framing
Here at Caroline Springs Picture Framing we can stretch your canvases and frame them, so they’re ready to hang in your home.
The term ‘stretching’ a refers to a canvas being wrapped tight around a frame.
We have two thicknesses of stretcher frame: 2cm and 3cm - which can be matched to what the canvas was originally stretched onto (if it’s an original painting), or to suit your requirements. It can then either be displayed stretched only, or a frame can be added around it also.
Canvases can also be mounted flat to a backing board, then framed.
We have a wide range of frames to choose from, but our most popular frame for canvases is a floating frame - whereby the stretched canvas appears to be floating, with a 5mm gap around all sides.
